Project Description:
A local chemical manufacturing plant faced process cooling issues related to dilapidated 30-year-old cooling towers. Our ThermalTech engineers studied a variety of options and selected the best replacement solution. We prepared a detailed design package, including a 3D model with thorough plans and sections of the installation. The new towers are two-cell, counterflow, induced draft Evapco AT-224-820, rated for 4,000 gpm. Utilizing our innovative 3D modeling techniques, the towers were squeezed neatly into place during a very brief plant shutdown of ten days. The towers provide 4,000 tons of cooling and use variable frequency drives which optimize cooling and save energy in response to ambient conditions.
